Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
You will be picked up from either Jomo Kenyatta Airport or your city Hotel to begin your journey
towards Amboseli National Park. Once you arrive at the camp, you will have lunch and then set out
on an afternoon game drive to explore the acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and
open plains to search for wildlife. You will return to the camp during sunset.
Amboseli National Park covers an area of 392 square kilometers and is well-known for offering
breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and
in Africa (5895m). Other animals you might spot here include cheetahs, zebras, giraffes,
wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, and many others.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park Full Day
You have two options for your day at Amboseli Park today. You can leave camp after breakfast,
carrying your packed lunch to enjoy in the wild. Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli's
marshlands and swamps, then Return to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long day of
exploration,
If you choose the second option begin with an early morning game drive to see the animals when
they are most active. Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. Spend the hottest part
of the day relaxing in camp, reading, writing in your journal, or observing the local birds. In the late
afternoon, at around 4 pm, head out for another drive through the park.
Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will depart Amboseli National Park and head towards Nairobi city. Proceed
further west and make a stopover at the magnificent Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take photos of
the different landscapes, including Mount Longonot and Mount Suswa. This is a perfect opportunity
to stretch your legs before continuing with the journey.
Upon arrival at your hotel located on the shores of Lake Naivasha, you will check in and have lunch.
After lunch, you can opt to go for a boat ride and walking excursion at the Crescent Island Game
Sanctuary. Later on, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Naivasha is one of the most beautiful Rift Valley lakes in Kenya. It is home to hippos, zebras,
and giraffes. This breathtaking location is sure to make your safari memorable.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru via Hell's Gate
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you can head to the nearby Hell's Gate National Park for some
exciting outdoor activities, such as rock climbing and bicycle riding, while observing wild animals
grazing. Hell's Gate National Park is the only park in Kenya where visitors are allowed to cycle or
walk alongside wild animals. The park is home to various wildlife, including African buffalo, zebra,
eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, giraffe, Kirk's dik-dik, and many more.Later, you will leave the park and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in good time for
lunch. You will then embark on your first afternoon game drive, searching for the animals that reside
in the park, and returning at sunset.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a highlight of any safari in Kenya. During your visit, you will almost
certainly spot rhinos (both black and white), lions (including rare tree-climbing lions), and
endangered Rothschild's giraffes, which have very pale markings below their knees.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Today, after breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive through the Rift Valley floor to the Masai
Mara National Reserve. You will arrive at your lodge in good time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will
set out on your first game drive in this beautiful savanna grassland, in search of the famous "Big
Five" and other herbivores that roam around here. You will return to your lodge at sunset for dinner
and your overnight stay.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya. This
reserve is home to incredible wildlife, including big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as
well as elephants. You will also have a very good chance of seeing giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests,
zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas. Don't forget to bring your binoculars, as there are more than
500 species of birds that have been recorded in the reserve. You will also be treated to beautiful
savannah landscapes dotted with acacia trees.
Day 6: Game drive in Masai Mara Full Day
This is a full day dedicated to game viewing across the famous "Eighth Wonder of the Animal
World". Renowned for its great herds of plains game animals, such as leopards, cheetahs, and
lions, the Mara also abounds with numerous elephants and virtually every other type of wildlife
found in Kenya.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch under a lone flat-top acacia tree in the savannah while watching the
animals graze. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive, arriving at your lodge late in the
evening after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah, which measures 1,500 km.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can book a balloon ride that takes off early in the morning. After
landing, the crew will help you out of the basket and escort you to a lovely setting for a bush
breakfast. You will then be reunited with your driver guide at a location and continue with the game
drive until late in the evening. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is well worth the price.
Day 7: Game Drive in Massai Mara Full Day
Wake up to another glorious day in the Masai Mara. Begin your day with an early morning game drive
to search for animals when they are at their most active. Then, return to the lodge for a relaxed
breakfast and lunch.
Spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in the camp - read your favorite book, write about your
safari experience in your journal, or just listen to your favorite music while observing the birds. Don't
stress, the animals will be doing the same. In the afternoon, head off for another drive through the
park. Return to the lodge for dinner and enjoy another night under the Masai Mara stars.Alternatively, you can depart early in the morning carrying your packed lunch boxes for a full-day
game drive, returning to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After a leisurely morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge, pack up, and drive back to
Nairobi. En route, you will have an (optional) scheduled visit to a Maasai village for a cultural
experience, where you'll learn more about the community that has co-existed with the Mara wildlife
for centuries. You'll have lunch the African way at one of the hotels in Narok town. Afterward, you
will continue on the journey to Nairobi, arriving in the mid-afternoon. You'll be dropped off at your
respective hotel or at the airport to mark the end of your safari.
Depending on your homebound flight departure time, you will organize with your diver guide the
departure time from Masai Mara.
It's a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari will draw to a close. We're sure that you will
